Our standard consultation takes about 15 minutes. This consult is typically for dogs, cats and rabbits. Additional fees will be added for medication, nail clip or further tests.

Small animal consultations are for pets such as guinea pigs, hamsters and birds. Additional fees will be added for medication, nail clip or further tests.

Our nurses can provide you with help and advice on how to keep your pet's weight healthy and record their progress.

We offer many varieties of flea and worming treatment for your pets and our nurse clinics can help find the most suitable option for you. We also sell flea sprays for the house in our pet shop.

The first puppy vaccination can be given from 6-8 weeks, with the second injection taking place 2-4 weeks later when the puppy is 10 weeks old or older. If you miss your dog’s yearly booster injection you will need to begin the course again, adult dogs are given 2 injections, 2 weeks apart. The quoted fee includes two examinations with a vet, two doses of the vaccine and the issue of a vaccine certificate.

The Kennel Cough vaccine is a bacterial vaccine that the vet administers into your dog’s nose. It is a yearly vaccination for dogs that are going to kennels, sociable dogs, show dogs or dogs attending clubs or training.

The first kitten vaccination can be given from 9 weeks of age, with a second dose 3-4 weeks later. The fee includes two examinations with a vet, two doses of vaccine and the issue of a vaccine certificate.

Rabbits can be vaccinated from 5 weeks of age to protect against Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease. The immunity lasts for a year and annual 'booster' vaccinations are needed to maintain protection.

Microchipping your pet gives them the best chance of being identified and returned to you if they get lost or stolen. It is now a legal requirement to have your dog microchipped and to keep your contact details up to date.

*If your pet is already microchipped when you join the Pet Health Club, we'll provide you with a £10 voucher to spend in practice.

Prescriptions are available from this practice. You may obtain Prescription Only Medicines Veterinary, (POM-Vs) from your veterinary surgeon OR ask for a prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or a pharmacy. Written Prescriptions incur a fee of £16.36 per prescription, per drug and per animal. Please give 48 hours notice.

Your veterinary surgeon may prescribe POM-Vs only for animals under their care. A prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or immediate treatment is necessary. You will be informed, on request, of the price of any medicine that may be dispensed for your animal.

The policy of this practice is to re-assess animal requiring repeat prescriptions every 6 months, but this may vary with individual circumstances. The standard charge for a medication review consultation is £32.26.
